One Person Dead, Two Injured in Cedar Falls Shooting

Two Mason City men have been arrested after a shooting that left one man dead and two others wounded early Sunday morning on College Hill in Cedar Falls.  25-year old Brandon Mitchell was charged with attempted murder, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, and control of a firearm by a felon.  24-year old Daniel Judon was also charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon.  Cedar Falls Police responded to a call just before 2:00AM at the intersection of College Street and West 22nd St.  One man was found with a gunshot wound and he was taken to Unity Point-Allen Hospital in Waterloo with life-threatening injuries.  Two others later arrived at Mercy One – Sartori Hospital in Cedar Falls, one with life-threatening injuries.  He was later transported to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  The other was treated and released. Names of the victims have not been released pending notification of relatives.  Police say the investigation is continuing.
