One person was arrested after he apparently crashed into two vehicles during a high-speed chase Sunday morning. Authorities say an Iowa State Patrol trooper was pursuing a Dodge Challenger with Minnesota plates heading into Waterloo. After a second crash, the car lost a tire and then hit a bridge barrier on elevated US Hwy 218 over West 4th Street. The driver was taken to an area hospital with injuries. Charges are pending. The crashes shut down a part of northbound 218 for a time Sunday morning.
