The Waterloo Warriors hockey team’s season ended today in the semifinals of the USA High School Division-2 National Championship Tournament, in Dallas, Texas.
After going 2-1 in Round-Robin play, the Warriors opened up playoff action today morning by skating past Sun Valley of Idaho 4-2, in a Quarterfinal game.
Waterloo advanced to the Semifinals later in the day, where it lost to Denver East of Colorado, 6-4.
Waterloo had won the Midwest High School Hockey League regular season title and was representing the state of Iowa.
