UNI junior guard AJ Green is entering the transfer portal and testing the NBA Draft waters.
Green made the announcement on social media this morning. Green said he is entering the NBA Draft “with the full intent to pursue my childhood dreams of playing professionally.”
He also wrote that he’s entering the transfer portal “to gather as much information as I can in order to make the best decision for my future.” He wrote that returning to UNI for another season is an option he’s considering.
Green, a Cedar Falls native, was twice named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year.
He was named the league’s newcomer of the year as a freshman.
He started all 99 games he’s played at UNI over the past four seasons, averaging 17.9-points, while shooting 41-percent overall, including 37.8-percent from 3-point range.
