Grant Money Offered for New CF Pool

A $100,000 Large Match Grant is being awarded by the Wellmark Foundation to go toward a new indoor swimming pool complex at the new Cedar Falls High School.  Supporters of the project say they need the community’s help to raise the matching money.  Traci Mallaro, the co-chair of the group Jump In that’s leading the fundraising effort, says they’re very honored to be selected.

Right now, she says there’s been great support for nearly 200 donors, but adds time is of the essence toward receiving the grant money.

She says the new pool will eventually replace the Peet and Holmes Junior High pools.

You can find out more information or to contribute by going to thecfpool.com.  Donations received up to the $100,000 prior to August 17th will be matched by the Wellmark Foundation.
