Fugitive Murder Suspect from Georgia Arrested in Waterloo

Waterloo Police on Tuesday arrested a fugitive murder suspect from Georgia following a traffic stop. Waterloo Police say that officers conducted a traffic stop on 26-year-old Jalen Gary, who was wanted for theft and two counts of forgery. The passenger in the car, Jamarius Bernard Johnson, reportedly gave police a fake name. Police then determined that Johnson was wanted for murder in DeKalb County, Georgia. Johnson is currently in custody at the Black Hawk County Jail awaiting extradition back to Georgia.
