The Cedar Falls girls golf team captured the Metro Meet championship yesterday.
The final round of the meet took place at Gates Park in Waterloo.
Cedar Falls shot a 179, while Waterloo West was 2nd with a 209.
The Tigers finished the 36-hole meet with a 722 as a team. Waterloo West was second with a 842. Waterloo Columbus was 3rd and Waterloo East placed 4th.
Individually yesterday Cedar Falls’ Molly Ratchford fired a 40 to win medalist honors. The Tigers Marly Richter was runner-up with a 41.
Overall, Ratchford won the Metro Meet with a 167. Molly Fereday of Waterloo Columbus was the runner-up, four strokes back with a 171.
