The Cedar Valley put on a dominant performance at the 2023 High School State Wrestling Tournament, which was heard on The Fan and wrapped up Saturday night.
Waverly-Shell Rock in Class 3A, and Don Bosco in Class 1A, both won team titles.
It was the fourth state title in five years for the Go-Hawks, who got first-place finishes from Ryder Block at 138, Bas Diaz at 145 and Danny Diaz at 160.
Don Bosco captured the 1A team championship for the 5th consecutive year. It was the Dons 15th title in school history.
Don Bosco finished with nine medalists, including Kyler Knaack, who won the 152 pound title.
And Waterloo Columbus had a strong showing. The Sailors crowned three state championsl; Max Magayna at 170, Carson Hartz at 182 and Mason Knipp at 220.
The Sailors finished 5th in the 1A team standings. Their highest finish since Waterloo Columbus captured the 2004 state title.
