Driver Arrested After Monday Waterloo Crash

We have an update on a story we had for you earlier about a one car crash in Waterloo Monday night. The driver of the vehicle has been arrested on a number of charges.  Waterloo Police have arrested 67-year old Gloria Hence. She apparently lost control of her SUV in the 200 block of Mullan Avenue near Lafayette Street when it left the road, hit a house and then a telephone pole.  She and a young boy were checked over by medical personnel, but not taken to a hospital.  Police say that investigators detected an odor of alcohol in the car, and she later had a blood alcohol content of .180, well over the legal limit.  Hence was charged with first offense OWI, child endangerment, and failure to maintain control.
