Water Rescue on the Cedar River in Waterloo

One person was rescued from underneath the Park Avenue Bridge in Waterloo, after two people entered the Cedar River Wednesday afternoon. Two young girls walked in the water until they were swept into the current toward the inflatable dam. One girl managed to get out of the water on her own, and the other was rescued by a Waterloo Fire Rescue crew. Officials say that both girls were taken to an area hospital for observation.
