9.30.25 – Metro volleyball, golf and swimming & diving results

It was a jam-packed Tuesday of Metro high school sports…

In volleyball,

(5A) 10th-ranked Cedar Falls Iowa won at Iowa City High in three sets,

(5A) 13th-ranked Waterloo West swept Cedar Rapids Washington in three sets,

(2A) top-ranked Denver downed Waterloo Columbus Catholic in three sets

and (1A) 15th-ranked Cedar Ridge Christian swept Riceville in three sets.

In boys golf,

Waterloo East took part in the Iowa Alliance Conference Meet at the A-H Blank Golf Course in Des Moines.

Ottumwa won the team score with a 316. Mason City was the runner-up with a 328. 

Waterloo East finished 7th with a 374.

In girls swimming & diving,

Top-ranked Cedar Falls defeated Cedar Rapids Washington, 124-62.

Waterloo West sailed past Cedar Rapids Jefferson, 144-41.
