Cedar Falls girls tennis team finishes 3rd at Class 2A State Tournament

The high school girls State Tennis Team Tournament wrapped up yesterday with a pair of area teams in competition.

In the Class 2A tournament at Waukee Northwest, West Des Moines Valley defeated Cedar Falls in the semifinals, 5-1.

The Tigers bounced back to defeat Iowa City West, 5-3, in the third-place match. 

In the Class 1A tournament at Pella, Dike-New Hartford lost in the semifinals to Cedar Rapids Xavier, 5-0.

The Wolverines then fell to Pella, 5-1, in the third-place match.
