Metro & Area teams set to compete at co-ed State Cross Country Championships

The co-ed high school State Cross Cross Country Championships take place today and tomorrow in Fort Dodge.

Class 3A and 2A boys and girls races are today, while Class 4A and 1A races take place tomorrow.

In the boys 2A meet today,

Grundy Center’s Emerson Vokes will look to defend his state title. Meanwhile, Denver is among the teams competing.

In the girls 2A meet today,

Dike-New Hartford, Grundy Center, and Jesup are among the teams competing.

In the girls 1A meet tomorrow,

Hudson, Wapsie Valley and Sumner-Fredericksburg are among the teams competing.

In Class 4A tomorrow,

the Cedar Falls girls and boys teams will be competing

and Waterloo West’s Nakia Oliverre will look to win her second consecutive individual championship.
