Vicki Chats: Musician Garin Melton
Today on the show, we’re welcoming a rising talent with a heart as genuine as his voice — Garin Melton.
Originally from the small town of Cameron, Wisconsin, Garin recently made the move to Waterloo, bringing with him not only his guitar but an infectious love for coffee, music, people, and meaningful connection.
At just 21 years old, Garin’s already balancing a full life — working as a manager at Cabin Coffee while steadily carving out his own path in the local music scene. Influenced by artists like Tyler Childers, Noah Kahan, and Chris Stapleton, and deeply inspired by his family — especially his siblings who helped shape his sound — Garin blends soul, storytelling, and sincerity every time he steps up to the mic.
Whether he’s performing at Open Mic Nights at Bootleggers or playing gigs at The Screaming Eagle, Garin brings an energy that reminds you why live music matters — it’s real, raw, and rooted in connection.
We’re so excited to have him join us today to talk about his journey, his inspirations, and the road ahead. Garin, welcome to the show!
