Girls State Wrestling Tournament Begins Thursday
The girls high school State Wrestling Tournament begins tomorrow in Coralville at Xtream Arena.
It’s the fourth state tournament sanctioned by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.
It features two classes with 16 qualifiers in 14 weight classes. Last year marked the first time a two-classification state tournament was held.
448 girls wrestlers will compete in the first round tomorrow with hopes of reaching Friday’s championships.
