Vicki Chats with Natalie Clapp, Regional Director and Minority Owner of Families First Counseling Services of Iowa
Today’s guest is a true believer in teamwork, resilience, and the power of strong families. Born and raised in Waterloo, Natalie Clapp graduated from Waterloo East High School and earned a volleyball scholarship to the University of Northern Iowa. There, she met her husband, Chris — a former UNI football player from Cedar Falls. Married since 1996, they’ve built a life centered on service. He now works as a dedicated Probation and Parole Officer for the Department of Corrections, helping individuals redirect their lives with accountability and support.
They are proud parents of two accomplished children. Their son Brady lives in Utah and works as a machinist manufacturing precision components for U.S. Air Force missile systems. Their daughter Emily is a fifth-grade teacher at Walter Cunningham School of Excellence in Waterloo, pouring into young minds every day.
A longtime volleyball coach and leader, Natalie now serves as Regional Director and Minority Owner of Families First Counseling Services of Iowa, focusing on family mental health counseling for children, teens, adults, and families.
Natalie lives by the 100–0 principle, shared by former UNI Women’s Basketball Coach turned motivational speaker, Tony DiCecco: “Give 100 percent to relationships and expect zero in return.” Please welcome Natalie Clapp.
