Today’s guest is one of the biggest champions Waterloo has ever had — a hometown leader who’s helped transform the way people see, experience, and celebrate this city.
As Executive Director of Experience Waterloo, Tavis Hall has spent the last several years helping put Waterloo on the map in a major way. Since 2017, he’s led the city’s destination marketing organization through bold rebranding efforts, major tourism growth, and unforgettable citywide events that have brought energy, excitement, and national attention to the Cedar Valley. Under his leadership, Waterloo successfully hosted and continues building one of the region’s biggest celebrations — My Waterloo Days!
And this year? My Waterloo Days is bringing some SERIOUS star power to town with legendary Motown icons The Commodores, hip-hop hitmaker Murphy Lee, and R&B superstar Mario.
Beyond tourism, Tavis also serves as a Black Hawk County Supervisor, but at the heart of everything he does is one mission: making Waterloo a place people are proud to call home — and excited to visit.
