Ladies and gentlemen, I’m so excited to welcome back Steven Eilers, Horticulture and Natural Resource Coordinator at ISU Extension and Outreach, for his second visit to the show—and this time, we’re diving into something that affects every single one of us: food, farming, community, and the future of how we eat.
Steven is helping bring the 2026 Iowa Farm & Food Conference to Waterloo June 11th and 12th, and this year’s theme, “Futuring Our Food System,” is all about innovation, sustainability, local connections, and preparing for what comes next in agriculture and food production.
Hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and the Iowa Food System Coalition, the conference will bring together farmers, educators, entrepreneurs, food advocates, and community leaders from across the state for two days of conversation, learning, networking, food, music, and forward-thinking ideas.
