Acts of Jax: Tina Engstrom, Ashley Jenn & Teri Trask
Today on the show, we’re joined by three extraordinary women whose lives have been deeply connected through one remarkable young man whose impact continues to inspire an entire community.
First, we’re welcoming Teri Trask — or “Mrs. T.” as so many know and love her. Teri is a Cedar Valley educator, executive coach, speaker, consultant, and self-described “Enthusiologist Extraordinaire.” Throughout her career, she has helped people discover their strengths and lead with purpose. As principal of Orange Elementary School, she witnessed firsthand how one student’s kindness and resilience could transform an entire school culture.
We’re also beyond honored to welcome Tina Engstrom, Jax’s mother, advocate, and the driving force behind Acts of Jax. Through Tina’s vision and determination, Acts of Jax was created to ensure her son Jaxton’s spirit of kindness, compassion, and encouragement continues touching lives for generations to come.
And joining us today is Ashley Jenn, Jaxton’s cousin, educator, and one of the people whose life was forever changed by him. More than a decade ago, Ashley began tutoring Jaxton in braille after he started losing his vision. That experience inspired her to change career paths and dedicate her career to teaching blind and visually impaired students. She also helped launch what became a worldwide kindness movement when a classroom project—the Grinch Kindness Hearts—grew into thousands of hearts arriving from around the globe.
Together, these three women represent the family, educational, and community sides of an incredible story. They’re here to discuss the launch of Acts of Jax, the inaugural Acts of Jax Golf Outing and Legacy Launch, and the enduring lessons Jaxton has taught all of us about courage, kindness, resilience, and the power of making someone’s day.
Get ready for an inspiring conversation about community, compassion, and the extraordinary ripple effect one life can have on the world.
