Sandy Risvold
My guest today, Sandy Risvold, is someone whose roots run deep in Northeast Iowa and whose story is a wonderful example of hard work, community, and perseverance. Sandy was born and raised in Waverly, where she stayed busy with 4-H, band, volleyball, and church activities before graduating from Waverly-Shell Rock High School.
She went on to earn her degree from Iowa State University and began what she thought would be an internship at Simpson Furniture. As it turns out, that internship turned into a lifelong career! Along the way, she married her husband, Wayne, raised their daughter, and built a reputation as a trusted leader in the flooring industry.
Then, in May of 2020—at a time when most people were uncertain about the future—Sandy took a leap of faith and purchased Simpson Floor Covering right in the middle of the COVID pandemic. Today, she’s continuing a legacy of service while helping homeowners and businesses create beautiful spaces throughout the Cedar Valley.
