Today’s guest is proof that music can be a dance party, a psychology lesson, a comedy show, and a philosophical debate—all at the same time. Eva Via is an Iowa farm girl turned world-traveling musician whose sound blends jazz, progressive rock, Brazilian rhythms, storytelling, and a healthy dose of curiosity.
Her newly released album, The Happy Talent, is unlike anything you’ve heard before. It’s a musical exploration of joy, creativity, imagination, and playfulness—based on her master’s thesis in psychology. Every song teaches a different cognitive skill designed to help us become more adventurous, more playful, and a little less worried about what everyone else thinks.
She’s also already working on her next ambitious project, The 9th and 10th Commandments, which explores how psychology, neuroscience, philosophy, and faith intersect in our everyday lives.
