Light the Way: Walking Through Dementia Together coming to Waterloo on April 22 A growing statewide dementia education and support tour is coming to Waterloo on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, bringing caregivers, families, seniors, professionals, and community members together for a practical conversation about dementia, early warning signs, next steps, and local support. Light the Way: Walking Through Dementia Together is designed to help people better understand what dementia is, what to watch for, and what to do next. The event is intended to be clear, useful, and community-centered, with guidance for families who may be noticing changes, caregivers who are already in the middle of it, and professionals who regularly serve older adults. The Waterloo stop is part of a statewide tour focused on clarity, resources, and hope.
