Country Thunder Iowa – June 12 – 14 in Forest City
Country Thunder Iowa Debuts In 2020! Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kane Brown & Cold Dominion Announced As Headliners!
Country Thunder is rolling into Forest City, Iowa with a lineup set to include some of the biggest names in country music, and beyond.
Classic southern rock legends, Lynyrd Skynyrd, will be joined by supergroup, Old Dominion, and emerging superstar, Kane Brown.
An all-star line-up, numerous site improvements and an updated format represent winds of change in the stunning natural beauty of Heritage Park.
As North America’s largest country music festival brand, Country Thunder Music Festivals is thrilled to be putting on another world-class event for country fans in Northern Iowa.
“Iowa was an easy decision when it came time to expand our brand, and the fan experience that we deliver throughout North America,” says Country Thunder Music Festivals CEO Troy Vollhoffer. “The fans here are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive of the state’s robust country music scene.
“We ‘re extremely pleased to be part of that landscape, and we welcome fans from across the region to join this party in 2020.”
As part of its Last Of The Street Survivors Farewell Tour, an evening with Lynyrd Skynyrd at Heritage Park will most certainly bring a performance for the ages. The 2008 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductees are playing all the hits and all the fan favorite during this one last victory lap. During its 50-year history at the top of the southern rock heap, the Jacksonville band has sold nearly 30 million albums.
Think of it: Simple Man, Free Bird, Sweet Home Alabama, What’s Your Name? Saturday Night Special, Gimme Three Steps, That Smell and many more . . . all live on stage one last time – you won’t want to miss this!
On a more recent segment of the popular roots music scale, Kane Brown’s stratospheric star continues to rise, and the Chattanooga native has emerged as a bona fide superstar and headliner. Including No. 1 hits such as What Ifs (featuring Lauren Alaina), Heaven, Lose It, and Good As You, Brown’s live show will make instant mega-fans out of the new CT Nation in Iowa.
In many ways, Old Dominion bridges the gap between new and classic: Amazing musicianship, songwriting and numerous hits which have become a constant on country radio for the past half-dozen years. The group’s freshly-released, self-titled third album debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart this week. Despite such chart-topping success and countless industry awards, OD is band’s band who knows how to rip up a concert stage and bring the party in a big way.
An incredible supporting cast will include veteran superstars Big & Rich, Clay Walker and Lonestar, red-hot Ashley McBryde, Mitchell Tenpenny, Meghan Patrick, along with many more artist announcements coming soon!
