How many submissions may I make?
You may submit as many Gifts to Remember as you would like. Please submit only one gift or gift package per family.
When is the deadline to submit a Gift to Remember?
The deadline to submit a Gift to Remember is 3:00 P.M. on Friday, November 30, 2018. We may begin choosing and giving gifts prior to this date; however, any requests submitted after this date and time will not be considered.
Do those receiving the gift need to be within the Cedar Valley?
Yes. The person(s) receiving must reside in Black Hawk or an adjacent county. We will accept requests submitted by anyone, whether they live in the Cedar Valley or not, but the recipient must be currently living in the Cedar Valley.
How are gifts selected?
There is a committee of our staff who read through each and every gift request submitted. We look for requests that are written well and make selections based on what stories move us.
Do you choose big or small gifts?
We will consider all gifts, big or small. Each gift requested is reviewed by our committee.
What makes a submission more likely to be chosen?
Submissions that are chosen do a good job of telling the story of the person or family receiving the gift or gift package. They are specific when it comes to what is needed. We ask your requests are direct and to the point, and if possible, avoid simply listing gifts.
May I keep my gift request anonymous?
No, we will not grant anonymous Gifts to Remember.
How do I submit a Gift to Remember request?
You can submit a Gift to Remember by filling out the form on the station website Stories and the gift request can also dropped off at our studios at 721 Shirley Street in Cedar Falls, IA, Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm, or may be mailed to:
