Several Honored With Cedar Falls Public Safety Special Awards
Several Cedar Falls Public Safety Officers received high honors for their work in the past year on the force. Each year, the department gives out awards to team members who have gone above and beyond. Police Chief Mark Howard says that it’s important to recognize the great work from the department. Police Officer of the Year went to Branden Madsen; Maxton Ross was named Firefighter of the Year; Lieutenant Dennis O’Neill was named the RJ Voss Supervisor of the Year; Fire Supervisor of the Year was Captain Shea McNamara, and Adam Spray was named the Scott Sterrett Reserve Officer of the Year. The Cedar Falls Public Safety awards are held in the spring each year.
