The 15th annual Holiday Hoopla season kicks off in downtown Cedar Falls Friday night with the arrival of Santa Claus. Each year, ol’ Kris Kringle arrives in a different fashion, and attendees have to guess how he’ll be arriving. The event will run from 6-8PM in the area of 2nd and State Streets, with the annual fireworks finale over the Cedar River. Santa’s Workshop will be open at the River Place Plaza starting Saturday, and running on successive Thursdays and Saturdays through the 21st.
