Waterloo East high school has hired Grace Patterson as its new volleyball coach.
Patterson replaces Mikayla Montgomery, who in her only season at East guided the Trojans to the Iowa Alliance Conference North Division title.
Patterson is a Waterloo native. She prepped at Waterloo West and is a 2019 graduate. She was an assistant coach for the Wahawks the last three years and has coached club volleyball for several years.
She’s graduating from UNI in May with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Public Relations.
