Reminder About Fireworks Usage in Cedar Falls, Waterloo

Both Cedar Falls and Waterloo officials remind residents about the usage of consumer fireworks within their city limits for the upcoming 4th of July holiday. In Cedar Falls, consumer fireworks can be used on Monday July 3rd, from 9 AM to 10 PM, and Tuesday, July 4th, from 9 AM to 11 PM. The city will impose a zero-tolerance policy for violators. They’ll be charged with a simple misdemeanor and at least a $250 fine.  

In Waterloo, usage of consumer fireworks can be used on Monday and Tuesday from noon to 11 PM. A first offense violation will be a fine of $375, a second offense violation will be a $500 fine, a third offense carries a $1,000 fine.
