The name of the victim in a fatal shooting in downtown Waterloo Saturday afternoon was released Tuesday. He’s been identified as 45-year-old Muharrum Quan Johnson of Waterloo. The shooting occurred near Fourth Street and Mulberry Street, next to Lincoln Park, where an event was happening. Waterloo Police said officers responded to the shooting call just before 1:00 Saturday. Officers found a person with a gunshot wound. First responders took Johnson to UnityPoint-Allen Hospital, where he later died. Police still are requesting information on the shooting.
