Fire Heavily Damages Waterloo Duplex

Six People Displaced From Building

Six people were displaced from their homes in Waterloo after an early morning fire broke out on Monday. Firefighters were called to a duplex in the 400 block of Wellington Street. Emergency crews arrived there at around 1:00AM and found the building fully engulfed in flames.  A pet dog died in the fire.  The American Red Cross was working with those people that were displaced by the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
