New Waverly Elementary School Not Quite Ready Yet

A new elementary school in Waverly won’t be ready for use when the first school bell rings next month. In a message posted on their Facebook page, the Waverly-Shell Rock Community School District announced that North Ridge Elementary won’t be ready for the first few days of the upcoming school year. Officials do say that there has been significant progress made, but there “just isn’t enough time between now and then to get everything done.”  The district plans for the North Ridge students to start the school year in Shell Rock and then transfer over to the new school for classes in October.
