Waterloo’s Jefferson Street Corridor Wins Regional Phoenix Award

Earlier this month, the City of Waterloo received a Phoenix Award at the National Brownfields Conference in Detroit, Michigan. The amount of total investment is near $100 million in the area.

The redevelopment team includes: City of Waterloo, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, U.S. Small Business Administration, Iowa Department of Natural Resources,  Iowa Economic Development Authority, Main Street Iowa, Black Hawk Gaming Commission, Waterloo Development Corporation,  Echo Development Group,
Hawkeye Community College, SingleSpeed Brewing Company, HR Green, Inc., and Vandewalle and Associates.
