One Person Dies after Waterloo Shooting

One person is dead after a shooting in downtown Waterloo Saturday afternoon. It occurred near Fourth Street and Mulberry Street, next to Lincoln Park, where an event was taking place. Waterloo Police said officers responded to the shooting call just before 1:00 Saturday. Officers found a person with a gunshot wound. First responders took him to a local hospital, where he later died. Waterloo Police said it isn’t clear if there is any connection between the shooting and the event in nearby Lincoln Park. Waterloo Police said the investigation is continuing.
