Automation and Robotics Center Opens at TechWorks

The new Automation and Robotics Center located on the TechWorks campus  in Waterloo celebrated its grand opening Tuesday with a ribbon cutting and an open house. The center was created in response to the shortage of skilled workers and will provide training in Industry 4.0 which involves the utilization of digital technologies to establish interconnected systems to unlock capacity, productivity, and efficiency. The Automation and Robotics Center features a new FANUC Connected Smart Manufacturing line and Certified Education Robot Training, allowing Hawkeye Community College to offer new robotic certifications in operations, programming, and integration.
