Waterloo Schools Propose New $165M High School Building

Construction Would Begin in '25, Completion by '28

Waterloo Community Schools have unveiled plans for a proposed new grade 10-12 high school building in the amount of $165 million. If allowed to move forward, construction on the proposed new high school building would begin in 2025, would be complete in 2028, and would be located on the campus of Central Middle School and the Waterloo Career Center. Primarily, East and West High School buildings would have 8th and 9th grade students, Bunger, Carver and Hoover would have grades 6 and 7.  The Board will discuss the new project at their December 11th meeting.
