Waterloo Police have charged a 17-year-old in connection with an armed robbery of a convenience store. Police responded to the Neighborhood Mart in the 2100 block of Lafayette Street around 10:30 Monday night after a robbery occurred. Employees told police that a male wearing all black displayed a weapon and demanded money. The teen took an unknown amount of money before leaving the store. He was later apprehended. Police have charged the teen with first-degree robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
