Reminders for Clearing Snow and Ice Off Sidewalks in Cedar Falls

With severe winter weather in the area, City of Cedar Falls officials reminds property owners and occupants to help keep the community safe by removing snow and ice from all public sidewalks adjacent to their property. Snow and ice is to be removed for the full width of all sidewalks within 48 hours of the end of the snow event. Residents are also reminded of the 48-hour parking ordinance. Vehicles should not be parked on any street for a continuous period of more than 48 hours. It is recommended that all vehicles be moved off the street prior to severe winter weather when possible. This helps allow plows and salt trucks to remove snow in all public right-of-ways.
