Waterloo Schools Host Community Town Hall Meeting Saturday

First of four town halls to promote new Waterloo HS project at Kittrell Elem.

On Saturday, the Waterloo Community School District will begin hosting a series of community town hall meetings to share information about the district’s potential high school project. Last month, the district’s Board of Education voted to move forward with an in-depth exploration of the district’s options to research the feasibility of transitioning East and West High Schools to a single high school that would be housed on the same campus as the Waterloo Career Center. The first meeting will be held Saturday morning from 9-10AM at Kittrell Elementary, 1304 Oregon in Waterloo.  The other three meetings are scheduled for Thursday, January 25th, from 5-6PM at the Waterloo Career Center, at 1348 Katoski Drive, Next Saturday, January 27th, from 9-10AM at Poyner Elementary at 1138 Central Avenue in Evansdale, and Thursday, February 1st, from 5-6PM, at the Cunningham School for Excellence, at 1224 Mobile Street.
