HCC Ag Instructor Finalist for Golden Owl Award
Hawkeye Community College instructor Amber Greiman has been named a finalist for the Golden Owl Award recognizing excellence among agriculture faculty. As a finalist, Greiman was presented with an individualized plaque in front of fellow teachers and students Wednesday morning in Tama Hall on Hawkeye’s Main Campus. She also received a $500 donation to help fund future educational efforts in the Ag Business Management Program. She’s now entered into a final selection stage for the chance to be crowned as Iowa’s Ag Educator of the Year, and receive the coveted Golden Owl Award trophy. Nationwide has partnered with state FFA organizations to create the Golden Owl Award since 2018 to highlight the growing importance of ag educators and recognize the services of many of the country’s leading ag teachers.
