The high school boys basketball postseason continued Saturday night with Substate Finals in Class 1A and 2A.
Among area teams competing in Class 1A,
Gladbrook-Reinbeck edged Kee 52-49.
Among area teams competing in Class 2A,
Grundy Center defeated Carrol Kuemper, 60-48
And Hudson overpowered North Fayette Valley, 70-33.
Gladbrook-Reinbeck, Grundy Center and Hudson are all members of the North Iowa Cedar League.
All three teams will play in State Tournament Quarterfinals next week…
Gladbrook-Reinbeck is seeded 7th and goes against 2-seed Marquette Catholic in a Class 1A Quarterfinal on Monday, March 4th.
Hudson and Grundy Center will meet in a Class 2A Quarterfinal on Tuesday, March 5th at 10:30am. Hudson is seeded 2nd and Grundy Center is the 7-seed.
