Waterloo Teen Faces Charges After Saturday Shooting

A teen is facing charges following a shooting incident in Waterloo. Waterloo Police responded to an apparent shooting on Saturday evening, which occurred in the area of Downing Avenue and Downing Court, near Fred Becker Elementary School. Police responded just after 9:00PM. Waterloo Police had an armored bearcat vehicle on the scene, but authorities said the incident ended before any standoff began. The 17-year old has been charged with possession of a firearm.
