A fire destroyed a garage in Waterloo early Sunday. The incident occurred around 5:15AM in the 800 block of Newton St. Three adults and four children were able to get out of the home safely. Crews contained the fire to the detached garage. Waterloo Fire Rescue officials say a motorcycle and other contents inside were all destroyed, along with the structure. Officials say the cause remains under investigation, but the fire was likely sparked by an electrical malfunction.
