Three Tigers, three Sailors earn Des Moines Register All-Iowa football team honors

The Des Moines Register has released its 2023 All-Iowa football teams and several Metro players were recognized.

In Class 5A,

Cedar Falls offensive lineman Jake Peters, defensive end Drew Campbell and linebacker Drew Gerdes each earned first team honors.

In Class 1A,

Waterloo Columbus Catholic running back Parker Kjeldsen, offensive utility (quarterback) Carter Lockert and defensive lineman Mason Knipp earned first team honors.
